Structural Composition 

Bracket:

It is the supporting structure of plate chain conveyor, usually welded with high-quality steel, with high strength and stability, able to support the whole equipment and the weight of materials conveyed.

Scale plate:

it is the main part of material conveying, which is composed of several flat plates arranged side by side and covered with a layer of wear-resistant material, which can withstand the friction and impact of the material to ensure that the material will not fall or be damaged in the process of conveying.

Sprocket:

it is the driving part, made of high quality steel, covered with wear-resistant material on the surface, cooperating with the chain to ensure the long-term stable operation, driving the chain and the scale plate to realize the conveying of materials.

Chain:

 it is the part connecting the scale plate and chain wheel, made of high strength steel, with high bearing capacity and wear-resistant performance, transferring power and driving the scale plate to move in a circular motion.

Working Principle 

Plate chain conveyor is mainly composed of power unit, transmission shaft, roller, tensioning device, sprocket, chain, bearing, lubricant, chain plate and so on. Among them, the chain provides traction power through cyclic reciprocating movement, and the metal plate acts as the carrier to lead the material to be conveyed along the horizontal or inclined direction.

Classification 

Classification according to carrying capacity: there are light and medium-sized, light plate chain conveyor is commonly used in home appliance production and other industries, with a workstation load of about 100KG; heavy plate chain conveyor is mostly used in automobile manufacturing, agricultural machinery manufacturing and other industrial fields, with a workstation load of up to 2t or so.

According to the material of chain plate, there are carbon steel chain plate, stainless steel chain plate and thermoplastic chain plate, etc., which can be selected according to different usage environment and material characteristics. For example, in the food processing and pharmaceutical industry, stainless steel chain plate is usually used to meet the sanitary requirements; in some corrosive environments, carbon steel chain plate or stainless steel chain plate with special treatment can be used.
